Nuian Trade Pack Questline

This quest line will reward you with a donkey after the second quest and a 16x16 farm after the fourth quest.

1st Trade Pack - Solzreed Dried Food

Note:
To save you a trip to Gweonid make sure you have all the materials for the first two packs before you even craft the first one. That way after turning in the first trade pack you can immediately craft the second.

Requirements:
35 Grapes
50 Trimmed Meat

Gameplan:
On your small farm grow:
8 Grapevines
2 Geese
5 barley

Additional Materials:
Shatigon's Knives
5 Geese

Info:
Grapevines mature from saplings in 5h 43m and can be harvested every 4h 18m in temperate climate. Your small farm holds 8 grapevines easily and in two harvests you should have enough, you usually get 3-4 grapes per harvest. You can plant these early and level a bit or if you are in a bigger hurry you can go to the orchard in Two Crowns and there are tons of grape trees there. It may take a little while to harvest your grapes but you can do it faster than waiting on your trees to mature and then become harvestable.

Orchard in Two Crowns

On the same small farm you can fit 5-7 geese between the grapevines, just make sure you grow your grapevines on the perimeter and the geese on the inside. You only need 2 geese to get the trimmed meat, but the catch is they must be "Thriving Geese." To get your geese to thrive you need to feed them ground grain when they are matured, they will turn into thriving geese You make ground grain by harvesting grain (barley is cheap and grows quick) and combining it with a Shatigon's Knife from a general merchant.

After you harvest your barley and butcher your 2 thriving geese you should plant 5 more geese to prepare for the next quest.

Travel - Solzreed to Gweonid Forest:
Option 1 - Head down to Crescent Throne and catch the airbus to Gweonid, it's a direct flight and drops you off right near the quest turn in.

Option 2 - Take the carriages you can from Solzreed to Lilyut and from Lilyhut to Gweonid and then you have to walk across Gweonid to the quest turn in.

2nd Trade Pack - Gweonid Dyed Feathers
Rewards Donkey

Requirements:
15 Orchard Puree
15 Goose Down

Gameplan:
On your small farm grow:
5 Geese
Grapevines (still there from last quest)

Additional Materials:
Shatigon's Knives

Info:
Orchard puree is made from combining grapes (or any other fruit) with a Shatigon's knife. 10 grapes will make 11 orchard puree so you will need 20 more grapes and 2 Shatigon's knives to get enough Orchard Puree. Just wait for your next harvest from the trees you planted for the first quest and you'll have plenty.

You can feed your geese some of your leftover ground grain from the first quest and then pluck them to gain more than enough goose down for this quest.

Travel - Gweonid Forest to Crescent Throne:
This one is a no brainer, take the airbus form Gweonid to Crescent Throne.

3rd Trade Pack - Lilyut Hills Refined Oil

Requirements:
12 Olives
50 Dried Flowers

Gameplan:
On your small farm grow:
25 Azaleas
3-4 Olive saplings (See Info)

Additional Materials:
Shatigon's Knives
Olives

Info:
Dried Flowers are made by combining any stack of 10 flowers with a Shatigon's Knife. You can will be finding them in the wild when out and about so I recommend picking up any you find and by the time you get ready to craft this trade pack you might be able to grow less flowers. Note: Don't use narcissus if you've found any as you will be needing a lot of them for the last quest, so ave them.

You can grow any type of flower you want, I chose Azaleas because they grow pretty fast. 25 will give you over 50 flowers and then you can combine with Shatigon's Knives to get your fried flowers.

Olives are the hardest thing to get up to this point. If you go the route of planting them it's going to take a while. They take 18 hours to mature from saplings in temperate climate and another 10 hours before you can harvest them. If you grow 4 trees you will get all your olives needed in one harvest. If you do that on a small farm then you have room to grow 8 flowers at the same time. Or you could grow 3 olive trees and you could possibly get all 12 olives in one harvest (trees give 3-4 olives per harvest, and have a chance at a rare olive that gives 9-12 olives) and you have room to grow more flowers on your farm.

Buying them is the fastest way, but they are a little expense, ranging from 20-60 silver a piece from watching the market the last week or so. I expect they will come down in price when there are not as many people doing this quest line, but they probably won't drop too much considering how long it takes them to grow.

If you don't want to pay and you don't want to grow then you can go to Cinderstone Moore in the first part of the zone before it turns volcanic you can find wild olive trees. I've heard of some people have great success with this, I ran around the area for two hours and didn't find any fruited trees, just matured and saplings, so I ended up buying them. Although, you'd likely be able to find 12 olives running around here faster than you can grow them, the choice is yours.

Olives in Cinderstone Moore

Travel - Lilyut to Marianople:
Your fastest bet is going to be taking the carriages and using your donkey to walk to and from the carriage stops.

4th Trade Pack - Dewstone Distilled Liqour
Rewards Large Scarecrow

Requirements:
50 Medicinal Powder
190 Narcissus

Gameplan:
On your small farm grow:
15 Mushrooms
50-65 Narcissus

Additional Materials:
Shatigon's Knives

Info:
Plant your mushrooms and then fill the rest of your farm up with narcissus. Mushrooms take 2 hours to mature and narcissus take 1 hour. If you harvest your narcissus when they are ready and replant you can have this step done in 2 hours. Each will give 3-4 yield per harvest. You can fit 50+ plants

You can find narcissus flowers in the wild, but you need a lot of them for this quest so you are going to have to grow them yourself. You can fit 50+ on one small farm if placed carefully.

Travel - Dewstone to Austera:
This is the hardest travel of the quest line, you have to travel to the eastern continent. Again there are a few ways to do this.

Option 1 - Swim. Probably the worst option, it will take forever and you will run into level 35 and level 50 sea monsters, so just afking and turning on auto run isn't going to work.

Option 2 - Use your rowboat. This isn't much better of an idea. It won't take as long but it's still really slow. Monsters can still get you and you are also a sitting duck for pirates.

Option 3 - Hitch a ride on someone's clipper. You can buy passage in chat, I see them going for around 4 gold per person, or maybe you have a friend or guildey that can give you a ride. I've also seen the occasional generous captain offer bi-coastal rides for free. You don't have to make to turn in the trade pack to get the update, you only have to get near the docks.

Congratulations, you now have a large scarecrow farm. Good luck finding any land to place one right now, but after a couple of weeks following launch I think we should start to see land open up and there's still the whole northern continent that is yet to be unlocked.

If you have any additional tips or questions feel free to post them below.

  2. A trade pack is a crafted bunch of goods that you make in a specialty workbench and take across the world to gain coin, gilda stars, or valuable resources.

Keep your eye out for quest givers with green plant icons over their head, these guys will give you your first small farm. Shortly after that these guys will give you the trade pack quest line that will eventually reward you with a large farm.
